Key points:

  • PIPA’s new website to help professionals engage with property investors
  • Site features search-by-postcode database of professionals involved in the property investment process, including mortgage brokers, financial planners and accountants

The Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) has unveiled a new opportunity for property and finance professionals to connect with property investor clients via its new website.

The newly updated website, launched last month, features a unique search-bypostcode database, which enables active property investors to search for a range of property specialists, including financial planners, mortgage brokers, accountants, property investment advisers and buyers agents.

“In a marketplace where property investment is really gathering pace, the introduction of PIPA’s search-by-postcode function is very timely,” said PIPA chair Ben Kingsley.

“The function means that professionals who are PIPA members will benefit from a new stream of local lead enquiries as active investors search for professionals in their area.”

According to Mr Kingsley, PIPA membership offers professionals across a spectrum of specialisations the opportunity to set themselves apart from the competition, as both a property investment specialist as well a professional who investors can trust.

“Investors represent a lucrative, sticky client base and professionals who position their service offering accordingly are going to be well placed to maximise business opportunities,” he said.

“Those who align themselves with PIPA can genuinely claim to be trusted professional specialists within the property investment space, and our new search tool is just another way for us to ensure our members are best positioned to capture this market.”

PIPA’s new website forms part of the association’s intensified efforts to campaign against property spruikers and drive greater protection for Australian property investors.

Its latest measures include a new anti-spruiking advertising campaign, as well as a strengthened fee and commissions disclosure policy for its members.

The bolstered disclosure policy requires all new members and existing members (upon their membership renewal) to provide documentation regarding their fee and commission disclosure policies, including any arrangements with any third parties or other related entities.

Any professionals looking to become a PIPA member and be identified as a property investment professional can find out more by visiting www.pipa.asn.au
